The A-Frame Poster Design

When considering the concept I wanted to portray a sense of fun and excitement using a 1980’s colour scheme to appeal to a wide target audience. I felt that it was important to create an inviting brand for “Late Night Bites”which would be aesthetically pleasing and engage with the general public whilst also taking into consideration Maggie May’s logo and designs on the website, social media and events.

I decided to incorporate bright, bold and vibrant colours with a contemporary design layout in line with current 2020 logo design trends, patterns and general graphic design trends. In keeping with the fun atmosphere and theme associated with the venue I decided to use bold comic book and rock music inspired typefaces. I have set the artboard size of the poster to A2 which would ideally be suited to an internal wall display or displayed in an advertising A frame or pavement sign outside the venue. Alternatively the poster could be printed at A5 for display on bar tables. The brand design is versatile in that it can be used across different media platforms e.g. print, website, Instagram and Facebook.
